Hey Beth,

Excited about your trip! That's great! I will make sure to continue to pray for you, your mother, and the mission trip this coming week. I am hopeful that you will each have a rememberable walk with God in this journey.

I have been so busy lately. Seems like there has been so much to do since Christmas. A new year and things haven't slowed down a bit. Though I was able to finish the chapter I mentioned about. You may be upset with me...but I did what must be done (meaning in my story). haha And no, I didn't kill off your character, don't worry. :0) Maybe one day I'll actually finish this book to start working on Erstwhile.

I just finished watching the 3 Lord of the Rings the other week. I keep saying I am going to read The Hobbit, but it still sits here on my shelf. I just finished The Shack, and found it such a disappointment.

Again, I pray your trip is wonderful for you all!

Tim

thank you very much for praying!!

OH NO!!!!!! what did u do in your story that i wouldn't be happy with you about???! lol, i hope it's not too bad! did vandor or kayla die? b/c if they did, i'm gonna be sooooooooo sad!!!!!!
i'm sure you will finish it someday =)

oh! so you hadn't watched them b4? those movies are soooooo awesome! but they messed them up. they left out major parts, and they added unnecessary ones. but i suppose they did have to leave out stuff since the books have sooooooooo much stuff going on! but i hate it that they portray some of the characters incorrectly! grrr! ben gets very annoyed with me cuz i'm like mad at the tv for getting the characters wrong. lol =)
anyway, the books are soooo amazing! you HAVE to read them! and you should definitely read the hobbit first. lol, i've memorized the little verse at the beginning of each book:

'three rings for the elven kings, under the sky.
seven for the dwarf lords, in their halls of stone.
nine for mortal men, doomed to die.
one for the dark lord, on his dark throne.
in the land of mordor, where the shadows lie.
one ring to rule them all, one ring to find them.
one ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them.
in the land of mordor, where the shadows lie.'

sorry, i just LOVE that!!!!!!

so you didn't like 'the shack'? i've heard of it, but i've never read it. i'm looking forward to finally finishing 'lord of the rings' so i can read 'three' by ted dekker. yeah, according to matt, i've been reading 'lord of the rings' for seven months, but then he changed it to six, so somehow, i just don't believe him (he exaggerates all the time!).

ok, well, i'll post alot when i get back!

hope you have a great week!

Off to Mexico tomorrow...so mostly likely you will not read this until you return. I will remember you in prayer this week, and wait your return to hear about your exciting adventure.

Now, I can't really give away the spoiler of the chapter so quickly can I? :0) A few more chapters and hopefully I will be able to start the editing process.

I had watched the Lord of the Rings when they first came out, but hadn't since then. I first saw The Hobbit when I was young in cartoon form, and apparently there is a cartoon of the Lord of the Rings also. I have never read the books, but I know what you mean about how movies converted from books are often different than the books themselves. And, if it is taking you six months, you better give me a year. haha

The Shack is a fictional book, but it was/is apparently a big craze among Christians. It was written in 2007, but just recently a lady I know went on and on about how wonderful it was. So, I decided to read it. My mistake, it is anti-Scriptural in so many places. My review is here if interested, but I wouldn't waste your time or money on it for sure. It is one thing for a book to be a Christian fictional writing that may not line up exactly with the Bible, but if the author is directly and purposely teaching something contrary to Scripture as Truth, even in a fictional book, that is something we have to watch out for.

Well be safe and take care,

Tim
